can't You Drawing a idea sketch draft with freehand and paste here,let me know Your question?and what do You want to do?
or....Your meaning is how to create a dormer windows?

ps.This sample can modification dome's radius and thickness.

my english not good!

1.use massing，then "roof by face"
2.link the sphere roof's Rvt into you project "yourproject"
then mofify you project to fit the sphere roof

3.link "yourproject" into the sphere roof's Rvt too then you can modify your sphere roof
